The Pilot G-2 07 is my favorite brand of red ballpoint pens.
In the third issue of my newsletter, which I sent out in June 2023 (Proofreading … the ‘Art of Being Picky’), I said that red pens were my favorite tools for proofreading.
That hasn’t changed! And to be honest, I doubt it ever will. In my opinion, red is the perfect color for marking up black-and-white text.
Figuring out which BRAND of pen was best was a challenge for a while, but I can definitely say I’ve discovered my favorite: the Pilot G-2 07.
This “premium gel roller pen” has a tip described as “fine point 0.7 mm” and is apparently popular with a lot of others, too. A total of over 49,000 global reviews have been posted on Amazon about this pen — 88% of which are 5-star.
